• Biography

A model from the age of six months, and an actor since he turned seven years old, 21-year-old Corey Sevier has already reached a pinnacle that many box office heavyweights yearn for, with starring roles in television as well as feature films.

By the age of 5, Corey learned to speak french. He's an avid athlete and fitness buff and plays sports such as soccer, baseball, hockey, tennis, downhill skiing, and currently mastering the art of surfing. He's also earned a green belt in karate.

Corey landed the coveted role 'Trip Brady' on the WB's show "Black Sash" in 2003. He stars as an introspective young man who enrolls in self-defense after his father uses him as a punching bag. Black Sash got cancelled after 6 episodes.

Born and raised in a small town near Toronto, Ontario, the personable young actor starred as "'Timmy", the young boy devoted to his resourceful collie "Lassie", in the successful version of the famous 1950's TV series, Lassie The Series. The show was very popular and aired simultaneously in Canada, the USA and over 40 other countries. For his work on Lassie, Corey was nominated for the coveted Gemini Award for Best Performance in a Youth Program.

Corey followed up his television role with a starring role in the Disney feature 'Summer of the Monkeys' which won the prestigious Crystal HeartAward at the Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis.

Corey's acting career began at the age of seven with his first film role in the ABC television mini-series Family Pictures", portraying the son of the characters played by Sam Neill, and Angelica Huston. Corey has since appeared in 27 film and television productions.

Corey continued building his career after his work on "Lassie" and "Summer of the Monkeys" by landing one of the lead roles in the TV series "Little Men", based on the book by Louisa May Alcott, which aired in the U.S.A and on the Canadian national network, CTV. Corey's portrayal of the character "Dan' earned him nominations as a finalist at both the 1999 and 2000 Los Angeles Youth Film Awards for the Best Supporting Actor in a Dramatic Series.

On "2030CE", the popular futuristic series shot in Canada, Sevier stars as Hart Greyson who takes on superhero status in his struggle against the superpower Nexus. The series takes place 30 years in the future and is a cross between "Star Wars" and the "X-Files".

Corey's impressive list of credits run the gamut and shows his range as an actor. In "Between Strangers" with Sophia Loren and Mira Sorvino, Corey stars as a punk who ends up beating up a bum played by Malcolm Mcdowell.

In Lions Gate "The Edge of Madness", Corey stars as the younger of two Scottish brothers, who builds a house in the Canadian wilderness. When his older brother buys a French woman for a wife, Corey's character falls for her in a love story that's also a murder mystery. Corey, in amazing physical condition tackled another demanding role as a smart talking teen in the feature film "Detention" starring action hero Dolf Lundgren.

With no role too big a challenge, he then tackles the part of Josh Gaines in the Lifetime Network's movie of the week "Student Seduction". Corey's character is a personable teenager with an obsessive crush on his teacher that leads him through some highly emotional scenes of rage and anger.

In 2004 he was starring in a film called "Decoys" where he pits his strength and intelligence against some stunningly beautiful aliens.

In the beginning of 2004 he landed the coveted role ‘Gabriel’ on FOX’s drama “The North Shore”. He stars as an aspiring pro-surfer and the hotel’s lifeguard in Hawaii. North Shore got cancelled after it's first season.

Corey now has 4 new movies coming up for 2006: The Secret, where he plays next to David Duchovny! Surf School, he's the main character in this movie. And he will be surfing a lot in this one! Code Breakers, about cadets at the West Point Military Acadamy who were exposed for cheating at the academy. Metamorphosis, this movie was shot in Europe, Corey plays next to Chirstopher Lambert. It'll be a vampire movie!

Recently Corey was a guest star in CSI Miami, he played Luke Gannon in the episode Blood in the Water (4.02).

Corey is a conscientious individual who has an amazing perception of his character analysis. His work ethic and passion for the arts allows him to take on a multitude of diverse roles. Corey Sevier is a name to remember, as he is a Rising Star on the fast track.
